Cherry-Anne Lee
Graduating in 2004 from Griffith University, Gold Coast, I earned my Bachelors Degree in Nursing and worked in many different facets of the industry until five years later when I found my passion for Women and Children's health and decided to branch into maternity. I completed my Masters of Midwifery at the Logan Campus in 2009.
In 2010 I made the sea-change to picturesque New Zealand and began working in rural Dannevirke as a hospital core midwife and loved every minute.
2014 and 2015 saw me becoming a mother; and my midwifery career taking a backseat. During my maternity leave I returned to study and took the IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) exam in 2016, passing in December with high marks.
My goal is to become a Lactation Consultant along side being a Midwife to enhance Women and Children's Health outcomes within the Tararua District. I am enthusiastic about breastfeeding and the benefits it brings to both babies and mothers, and I am committed to continuing my education in both lactation and midwifery fields to provide a gold standard of care.
